| MP3 Acapellas So I've been doing remix/production 15 years now, still haven't found a way to get that "holy grail" quality from my PC, despite a quality sound library, UAD-1 and (2) TC Powercores.... anyway..... I just got an email from a DJ friend (it's ALL who you know) forwarded from SonyBMG... promotions department looking for remixes for a new single, basically a contest with some $$ involved for the winner. Email contains stereo acapella with effect on it, MP3 format. I drop it into my project, and if I try to do anything to it, it just starts to disintegrate sonically... No matter how good MY mix comes out, the vocals will be super grainy. They want it back in MP3 format. It's like taking a picture of the Grand Canyon, then putting that picture on your big screen tv and taking a pic of that..... don't these label people know this? I guess I already know the answer.
