| last one out, turn off the lights....... Another company decided that the music recording industry is nice hobby, but no way to make a living. Audio Media magazine just announced in their new issue that they are now focussed on audio as part of the larger production process (film sound, game sound, etc.) Although I must have been in the minority, I always like Audio Media for its open minded stance. It didn't suffer from the "cult of personality" that makes some rags barely readable, and it didn't read like one long Harmon press release, either. The only good news is that Audio Medial has always been a free subscription, so I won't lose anything checking out the next couple of issues to see if there is anything left that I'd be interested in. But something tells me that one year from now, the September '05 issue won't have much that I'd want to read. There are only so many articles about Time Code frame rates that I want to read...... I wonder if there is ANY market for a magazine that includes a couple of articles per issue about mic placement and absolutely nothing about signal "processing"?
