Boom!

Well, I just sat down to get about 4 hours of recording in and my MOTU 828mkII went BOOM!

This session was my excuse to not go shopping with the wife. Guess where I'm going in about five minutes?

I was recording a keyboard track when suddenly a very loud and obnoxious hum at around 400-500hz blasted out of my speakers. I'm thinking amp, line mixer, motu, keyboard took a crap...I took everything out of the loop and tested it. Sadly, it was the mkII.

At least I have a new dinner jacket now, thanks to the wife.
