Thumbs down Leopard and Pro tools.

Check out this Photo I found on the site http://www.toothpastefordinner.com

I think it's hysterical. Any thoughts about leopard and pro tools?

There is no leopard version of pro tools yet. If you install a tiger version on 10.5 your asking for trouble. The guy is an idiot, the problem is created by him not digi or apple.

ProTools LE seems to work fine on Leopard. No experience with HD on Leopard yet.

I just found the comic funny because it's true.

Like Apple would ever release a developer copy so things will just work with it.

Apple - things just work with our computers... once our OS has been out for 3 months.

There was a developer copy released this summer AFAIK. This is normal, it took some time for things to work with vista as well.

I did a session tonight with PTLE7.3.1 on 10.5.1. with a Mbox mini. Tracked 5 songs git and vox, did a quick mix using sonalksis & massey plugs, bounced all the songs, no drama at all.

I've been running PT/HD on Leopard since it came out, and no worries at all so far.

i don't mind too much that programs aren't compatible with leopard but it does bother me that things change enough that programs need updates.

i hate to say it but that's one thing i like about windows, the OS is developed for about 7 years and the programs developed for XP will just generally work

MACS are a financial bottomless pit IMO! the transitions, OS upgrades, etc. over the last 6 years have cost mac users a lot to stay up to date (lets not ignore development time) whereas PC users can still use a 5 year old installer for that software they love to use.

i want to be able to install a 2 year old program and not have to worry that there will be compatibility issues with my current OS... that's high hopes i guess!

in short, the developers have to spend so much time to make software compatible with the latest systems and that takes away precious time from developing

don't get me wrong, i welcome the cool features and intel macs but i want my programs to be forward compatible
