I hurt my eye ball on a low paying editing job.

Its been 4 weeks now and my left eye ball hurts and is kind of strained.

Its also a bit fuzzy when I close one eye.

Am I damaged? Should I sell my PC so I dont use it?
My last job tool 12 hours a day for 30 days and was low pay lol..
But never thought it would cost my eye?

Can it correct by its self if I turn the freaking computers off and go camping?

Get em looked at...

Go and get your eyes checked out by an optician. Could be strain from fixed focal length, sitting looking at the screen, but don't dick around when it comes to eyes and ears. Get em looked at.

I find it a good idea to get up and walk around at regular intervals while working for long periods on the PC. Not only is it a good idea anyway, it also allows your eyes to focus on different distances for a while...

Why do I envision Deliverance when we start talking about camping?

What happened? Is it a physical injury or eyestrain? You might be able to claim workman's comp.

Do get an eye exam.

You probably never noticed the one eye before.

I just had my eye exam and was getting some strained tired eyes from the computer.

I also know my ability to focus close is getting worse which happens with age. One eye is better than the other. He said there is nothing I can do about it and nothing I can do will make it worse or better. Reading glasses here I come.

The doctor said you cannot damage your eyes with the computer but you can get tired strained eyes, headaches etc.

Get away from the computer every so often or at least focus on something with some distance. Look at far away things.

I guess when we look at the computer we have a tendancy to not blink which lubricates the eyes, so blink more.

Just what I heard so hope it is not false info.

Peace, Todd

a little trick I learned years ago from an optometrist

close one eye, put your hand in front of the open eye just to
where you can focus in pretty easily
after you have focused in look at something that is farther away
once you have focused in on the object far away look back at your hand

treat it like working out , switch eyes doing the same work out and
same # of reps

It works great , your vision will kick ass after a week

do the same with dark lit room and well lit room

I always wondered if glasses where a scam?

not sure if this will help the guys eye thats messed up

but if you follow these simple instructions your eyes will definitely kick ass

Its the same with ears!!!

Tape some adam s3a on both ears. Put on a Slayer CD, and feed your ears with 110db's for 10 seconds - then silence for 10 seconds, and then another 10 with 110db's and so on.

That will keep your eardrum flexible - you should just ignore the blood comming from your ears - thats normal.

and a for the fun of it.
