*&(% Van Halen

Anybody else see that Van Halen has now removed pictures of Michael Anthony from their album covers on their official website. They superimposed a pic of Wolfgang on the Van Halen I cover and have a plain, kind of green cover for Women and Children First.

Van-Halen.com | the official Van Halen web site

Lame.

Those guys seem like a barrel of fun these days.

I wonder if it's worse than The Police.

Wasn't it Ozzie who went so far as to have parts re-recorded? And it at least SEEMS like ZZ Top replaced thier drummer on older albums with a drum machine.

All 'characters' indeed.

at first, i thought the Women and Children cover was that greatest hits vol. 1 they put out a few years back with "Me Wise Magic" on it. right ridiculous hamfistery by a buncha has beens!

Check out the original cover to the record. That makes the switch more obvious.

I was a serious VH diehard. I noticed.

I don't know. I've heard people say both and don't know what to believe.

I don't understand why they are trying to change/erase history, though.

I once was a serious Van Halen fan, who by the way believed that part of the Van Halen sound was the high pitched backing vocals from Michael.

The joke with the cover:

I think you nailed it when you first called it "Lame".

Ozzy replaced Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake on the first two solo records. Those guys did an outstanding job. Great rhythm section.

I haven't heard the new versions, and I don't know who replaced their tracks.

Are you talking about the covers on the edges of the website?
Looks like Michael Anthony to me.

Are you joking?

Looks like they switched the Van Halen I cover back. It was different earlier. Women and Children First still has the generic cover, though.

I must be going mad.....yesterday when I checked the website, the Van Halen I cover looked like they had taken off Michael. It was an entirely different picture. It was too small to see if it was Wolfgang, but they had changed the picture in the right bottom corner.
They must have changed it back again.......or I am loosing it.

I t was obvious they had changed the cover. There has been a lot negative noise about it on online. Their publicists probably caught wind of it their petty bullshit and told them to knock it off.

Also.... "My little Man" on No More Tears was recorded by Vai, and rerecorded with Wylde, FYI.
