Wow is that a blast from the past. I used these things way back in the early 90's. I too bought them based on a recommendation from a friend and they were not that bad at all. People 'round here may scoff at them but it's all about the ears in this business and these do help in that area. Now I don't think they are a substitute for years of ears behind the gear but they are a good jump start IMO. I know that you were posting about the company but the product is pretty cool. About the company... sorry no idea. I know that when I ordered my set they came in right away, but that was 15 or so years ago and I didn't order them over the net (The "Internet"?? What's that?). lol Anyway, I would lean on the side that they are reputable because they have been around a long long time but YMMV of course. Hope it works out man.

thanks, yeah.. i knew they've been around for a while.. but volumes 1 + 2 look like they could really be useful.. just to see how much i actually DON'T know!.. which is probably more than i'd like to admit! ![]() i figured since they accepted PayPal and their site was still functional and all.. that they were more or less up to date... just sucks when this happens.. i'm still giving them the benefit of the doubt.. but i would like some sort of communication. |

I would give them a little time and see if they come though. If you paid with Paypal you can always try to file a claim if they don't ship. Paypal is pretty good at collecting money if you are the buyer... maybe give that a shot? Or send the company to this thread so they can see the bad publicity? | |

We used audio materials from Dave Moulton based on his Golden Ears series when I was at Berklee.... for our ear training courses. I swear that guy's voice would make me nearly fall asleep before he finished introducing the first batch of sine waves. He sounded like Garfield on tranqulizers. Good training, though.

Hi, I've got good news and less good news for you I also ordered them (I think August 2006), and received them. That's the good news Less good ... it indeed took a long time, that I have to admit (don't remember just how long). The reason (in my case that is) ... when I received the package there was sticker on it saying "missent to jamaica" (The package had to arrive in Belgium (central europe) to give you an idea) You don't have to believe me, but I'm telling the truth. For me, that explained the delay I remember emailing them (and getting response) about their website. My country was not in the order form and I asked if it would arrive. I've sent multiple mails to confirm the address including the country. Now I feel bad for not taking a picture of that package ![]() So, don't worry (I guess), they are not a bad seller in that way, but just in another way ... :-) |

hi! i ordered the total recording book some time ago and it needed i think more than 9 months!!!!!!! no mails and questions were answered, and at last i wrote to dave moulton who helped me with getting the book but it seems that the distribution is as ****ed up now as it was, which is a shame! |
