Thread Starter | i'm so sick of that damn drum machine sound errr
I'm so sick of hearing the sound of that fake ass drum sound. What happened to the sound, rich sounding real drums. Most rap and pop have the same damn drum pattern off the big knob drum computer..errrr. sorry had to rant!!

Drum machines are cheaper BTW - I personally love a well recorded kit played by a top notch drummer, but well programmed drums are excellent as well. All depends on genre/style and what fits for the song. |

Sampled drum hits for rock bands is the worst thing as well. There is no emotion.. It all sounds the same.. I would rather take the time and get it right.. If you have a great take and there is a few bad hits, then I think it is acceptable. 1) If you cant play remotely close to a metronome or have a good feel 2)Or are expecting me to grid/fix your drums... I tell them to go home and practice..
