donsolo i can see you're upset but i think you're mis-directing it at me... because i'm not waves. i dont think you've read my posts carefully enough. if you did, you'd see that i think my friend is being scammed and harassed... and no, i'm not going to say who he is, he wouldn't appreciate that.

i'm posting here simply to 1) share my bottom line opinion with other people who are being scammed and harassed by waves/banpiracy: don't settle unless you see the evidence. and 2) see if anyone has actually had a real lawsuit filed. in the case of my friend, he was being harassed for about 6 months or so, then communication stopped. but recently, he received another threat saying they were going to file a suit and that's when he asked me to look into it.

i dont want to get into specifics, but he's being accused of using diamond cracks, but other than vague accusations banpiracy/waves has not shown him any real evidence to back it up and they're asking him for thousands of dollars to settle.

he's pretty freaked out about it, but what i'm getting from reading the posts on this forum, and other places, is that noone is taking them (waves) seriously and noone has had any real legal action taken against them, other than bs threats.

Waves are scum!Banpiracy are blackmailing scumbags!They can't do anything here in the states but are still threatening everybody/studios that they can.They said they saw a TDM version of the diamond bundle on my pc!!! They are smokin crack!I own 3 waves bundles that are registered and they know it but still threaten to sue my little home studio unless I cough up $19,000............thats right,they have been trying to blackmail me for close to a year now for $19,000!!!They call all of the time and just hang up.......leaving no message.They keep sending threatening emails saying they are about to start litigation procedings on me.I just ignore them. I think the most important thing for all the guys out there reading about this for the first time knowing nothing about cracks is,

DON'T google "Waves torrent". Its wrong. Also don't google "API bundle torrent"

I'm glad this info is just between the 900,000 users of this forum because if it got around it could be a disaster for waves if regular consumers found out that every waves product was cracked.

The Ban piracy guys should be thanked for keeping this info under their hats.

I've been around here awhile and am not new.I just don't post to just post............I post when the thread is important to me.

I have a guesstimated $20,000 worth of plugs on my ilok including waves bundles and for them to do to me what they are trying to do makes me want to f@cking kill somebody.I want them to go bankrupt and I hope now that everyone will stop buying their products and/or just bootleg them.Waves deserve what they get from now on.I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL!

Just to put this in perspective - you're cool to get personal, doubting my intelligence because I didn't automatically think Waves would make hang up calls to you, but neglect to block their caller ID? Was the number the same as their office number? I don't know about the States, but in Australia, if someone from, say, my insurance company was to ring me, I wouldn't see their main office number appear on my phone.

Secondly, while touting yourself as obviously more intelligent than I, you wished death upon the innocent family of someone whose tactics you are questioning?
