Second hand purchases

Right now I'm feeling the lurch of the second hand purchase from GS gone bad. I'm going to leave the guilty party's name out, but when you buy software and fail to send the authorization codes, is it considered a complete transaction? No. It's worse when you fail to check for that information prior to installing the software, it removes your working version of the product and leaves you in a real bind. All while you never receive a response from the seller.

I'll be making the trek to Guitar Center, for the first time in ages, to buy ProTools 7.3.1.

That is all.
