RME FIREFACE 400 problem, please help!

hi,

I recently bought a fireface 400 but it will not work in stand-alone mode. I am running a G5 and osx 10.4.8. I have tried pressing 'store', then i've unplugged the unit and then plugged it in again at a different location but there is nothing coming out of any of the outputs. It works fine if i diconnect the firewire from the computer as long as i do not disconnect the power. Once the power is disconnected and turned on again it is a no go. Seems like the fireface just won't store my settings or am i doing something wrong? This is a really bad time for me because i'm right in the middle of a project. Please help if you can!!

thanks

ked

Also, the unit does save phantom power settings without problems, so the memory is working for that. I have the latest drivers installed. i installed drivers straight from the RME website rather than from a cd.

Hello,

you need to separately store the mixer settings under Options/Flash current mixer state.
