Just got the new Brian Setzer CD....

This is the new solo CD. I used to have infinite respect for this guy and his production teams abilities (past recordings of the orchestra were one to holds one skills hopefully up to). Not only are the songs horrible and slapped together (in particular the lyrics), but the production sounds hollow, disjointed and VERY digital (whatever that really means, the only word I could think of). Sorry to be negative, I was thinking this was going to be one of the best albums of the year creatively and technically and it turned out to be the opposite.

That is bad news indeed. I've always respected and admired Mr. Setzer's efforts and he has not disappointed me yet.

I'll keep an open mind but this does not bode well.
