Niv hello
sorry for stealing time, but if youīd have another second thatīd be very nice.
you gave some answer for my question about a good low budget ad(a) and well, iīm not done with it yet though iīm quite finished with writing/arranging and its really up to record the stuff.
for improving overview i give you some info on the chain. its pure acoustic music, just vocals and a guild gad 25 guitar. thats why i canīt live with a sound too digital. two mics are used, both made by kel (canadian company), models "hm 1" & "hm u7". they run into d.a.v. broadhurst gardens u1 pre-amp, from there it goes through a "drawmer 1968" compressor and the eq "ams neve 8803". recording device is a revox a77, which does the playback for digitalization/digital recording as well.
what i found out on higher levels would be a burl b2, and i write that mail just because you wrote a big thread on that one. so my question simply put, is there much gap regarding elimanting my digital complains between that one and the "frontier tango 24" you recommended to me in my thread? its just the tango is 44/48kHz only, and i think they even too it off the market meanwhile. and how are these digital master stereo recorders by tascam or alesis (multilink)? ainīt it the case that ad just became even worse over the last years since the "imrovements" in "clarity"? i donīt want clarity, i want a compact, warm sound. its such cold difference listening from the revox headphone out and listening from the pc.
thanks for time and patience!

Hi Greg,
I'm in NYC for 2 days. Would love to meet up if possible.
I'm in the market for a mastering A/D and would love to listen to the Burl Audio.
I just flew in from Mix Nashville and will be flying back to Jakarta in 2 days time.
Cheers,
Moko
