Hi!

After hearing a lot of deragatory remarks of "cheap Chinese made mics" i decided to prove the cynics wrong. So i bought a used K58 off Ebay for $68.99 and it was tagged as a "project" item where it crackles like a "crispy rice treat" according to the seller.

Now i wish to have this repaired and create a giant killer mic or David's (the David who killed Goliath) mic by producing a record track and posting it in the web to prove that there are treasures to be found in the sub $300 mic category. It will be coupled to dbx 376 by the way.

Can you please advise me what to do next? i mean in having it repaired and how much is your estimate if i sent it to your service center? I'm also contemplating on mods...
