since I cant find any answers to this I saw your post regarding Firewire so I thought maybe you know this answer? I am wondering if you had any luck or know someone. I am trying to get PT9 and a Gdrive running on Firewire.
We know the Macbook Pro only has 1 firewire port out...and on the road I'm using a Projectmix i/o which has a single Firewire 400 port in, daisey chaining mac out to G-drive in , G-drive out to Projectmix DOES NOT WORK, it causes PT to lock up. Before I buy a Firewire hub I wanted to ask these questions.
At the moment I am using USB 2 to the Gdrive from the MAC and Firewire out of the MAC to the Projectmix and all works ok except for latency issues.
