I am not based in the UK and unfortunately cannot comment on individual shops there. Here in the states there are many MI stores that won't do what I suggest, but true pro audio shops know that things need to be auditioned and will allow trials. examples include Atlas Pro Audio, Mercenary, Vintage King, etc.... I suggest you make a post on the board about shops in the UK that may accommodate your needs.

Are you based in the UK or elsewhere?
I can't for the life of me find a place in the South West that will do this. Digital Village, Reverb, PMT, a few smaller obscure ones...
Any suggestions?
