    Dear Ethan,
Thanks for a wonderful transfixing experience.
ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT! I'll be sending a link on to some of my friends, and I know they will enjoy this.... something for everyone, and obviously an experience that you enjoyed making as much as I enjoyed watching, and that makes it even better.
Just wanted to thank you personally.

    Thanks Ethan,

I would love to post your high res video on my blog where I've featured you... but wordpress won't allow an embed from vimeo. And, I apologize for misspelling your last name in the post. I saw it as "Winters" before I finally figured out who you were. It's been corrected, and I've added a little bit of stuff to it.

Incidentally, I could use some advise, if you've a mind to share that encyclopedia you call a brain. In the Studio Designs forum, I've detailed a studio build project I'm starting. I could sure use your expertise.

    Hi Ethan, Lexx here...

I'm an "old road dawg" and I've been "out there a lot..." Miles and miles. But, you... you... :-) I'm still shaking my head!

I've started a new blog aimed at guitar instruction and theory. And, I've just featured you on the blog, here:

I love what you do. Hope this meets with your approval!

    Hey there Ethan

I'm wondering if you can put me onto somebody that sells your product in New Zealand - i'm looking to add some bass treatment for my home studio. ( currently doing post for TV )

    Regards

Im building a studio in Colorado. however it has just come to my attention that while i was gone the contractor messed up the control room. instead of being a rectangle there is a 2'x2' extension in the front left corner of the room. My question is how should i deal with this? Should I insert the same 2'x2' extension on the front right side of the control room?

I just watched your cello video. Delicious! I've sent it to a cellist friend who is interested in doing some self-recording. Thanks! -- Christian

    Hey Ethan,

I really respect your talent, experience, and scientific approach to myth busting audiophile and engineering assumptions.

I need about 4 decent pres to record drums straight into my A/D.
I know that you use a mackie vlz mixer. I have read a lot on these forums regarding slew rates, op amp quality, etc for recording drums. I just want something clean that reproduces the sound of the mics, drums and the room faithfully. What's your opinion on buying a used mackie vlz mixer, similar to the one you use for this regard. I just want something that will reproduce the sound of the drums, room, and mics faithfully. Mackie gets trashed on this forum and people say their preamps sound like ass compared to more expensive pres. Do you agree? Would I hear a noticeable difference (ie clearly pick out the more expensive pre), if I went with something like a sytek or something that used better opamps (ina163)? Or would you suggest the mackie? BTW room is treated with oc703 4" and it is relatively decent sounding.

I really want to cut through the bias and BS that I read on a lot of forums. Thanks for your valuable insight.
