Hello Dave. My name is Quentin Dennard and I feel like i am the next coming mix engineer to claim my own spot in this game. I admire what u do and now with your addition, Jashua as well. It was brought to my attention by another engineer that he will throw certain things out of phase so that they stick out in the mix. I believed that things being out of phase was bad. But after he showed me how to use it in a mix application I understood how it works. Is this something that u do? If so how often do u do it? Is it something that u do all the time? I was listening to MJB Growing Pains in the studio on the NS-10s so i could hear what u were hearing, and its a particular song u mixed that i had a question about. Number 10 Fade Away. The 808 toms in that song stick out like crazy. They are sitting right infront of the speakers. What did u do to get that (if u can remember)? Im thinkin that u put it thru a chorus with no dry signal. Is this true or is this a phase reverse thing as well?
Hi Mr. Pensado.
Can I send you an Rnb-HipHop track that I have produced to get feedback on?
Sometimes I send my tracks to Tal Herzberg when I think I have something really great in hope of getting a track through to some great artists.
Hope to hear from you.
Very kind regards
