    Dear Bluebeard Part-2
Regarding the clipping yes under certain conditions even the original old 1969 Lustraphone Modules had the same problem, but to guitar players loved this, Eric Stewart of 10cc used to overdrive a type-69 purposely to get overdrive.
so one has to be very careful when using the Helios Type-60 whether an original or a re-issue.

Try not to bring up the input Mic Gain to much, make sure what ever follows the Helios is not pulling it down, thge Helios does have unity gain (What level goes in should be the same as what comes out), keep me in touch after checking the resistor values.
You can email me at arny@helios-electronics.com and give me your telephone number, I will be more than glad to call you if you still have a problem.

    Dear Bluebeard, Part-1
Sorry for delay, took short Mayday week vacation.

There were only one batch of ten units that had this Resistor mistake,
it was when electronics industry brought out the RoHs specs, a Resistor was mistaken to be a value of 6K8.

All three resisters should be 6K8, I have sent you a Layout diagram should you wish to see where they are.

    Best Regards,

    Tony.

    Dear Mr. Arnold.

    Greetings...

I have a single channel helios 69 in a Vintage King rack. I love the preamp, yet I have noticed that it clips earlier than expected. I took it to Tim at Vintage King, we opened it up and it had the 32 volts and 10k pots. R51 was still in place. At home later, I lifted r51. Kats had mentioned r23,r49 and r50 having wrong values in 2 units he had purchased, but couldnt find where he had written down the correct values. He said they were stuffed incorrectly. What should those 3 values actually be?..I havent opened my rack since lifting r51, so Im not sure what values I have yet. I appreciate your help and information. I love the sound of Helios...I use it when recording my guitars..accoustic and electric...and love the sound it provides. I just want to make sure that it is sounding as good as it possibly can...

    thanks again,

    Sincerely,

    Michael Vaidic
