Academic pricing vs normal pricing is just that, pricing, you get the same box and program. Yes, v12 should come out Feb 29th and will be in the states mid to late March. The price for upgrading from V11 to v12 is $1095.

I'm about to become a Sequoia 11 user. I wanted to know if there are any differences between the educational version and the retail version that I should know of other than contractual clauses? Also, I've been told Sequoia 12 is on the way. I have been offered a free upgrade but just out of interest, how much would the upgrade usually cost from 11 to 12? Thank you.
