Researching some stuff, and your replies keep popping up. I have a focusrite isa 428, and recently purchased an apollo. I also have a daking mic pre IV. I ordered the digital card for my focusrite, and was wondering what you suggest for the daking. I was going to run the daking into the focusrite for conversion which would leave the apollo pres open for more channels, plus some returns for outboard stuff on the other ins. However, do you think the apollo conversion is that far superior to the focusrite, and not using it for conversion would be a mistake? I guess the simple answer would be to try it when it gets here, but I was just curious for an opinion! Thanks - Nick

Sorry to trouble you. I am wondering if you are happy with your 012's?

I have bumped into a deal on some almost new 012's with the 3 capsules. For a little more than 550 cdn which is attractive.

Are you happy with yours ? Would you feel the other capsules are useful ?

Just wanted to touch base again re: gap73 dlx vs Warm pres.

In Canada the Gap is about $50 more but the Dlx comes with upgraded components. I know its not actually a 1073 but would you recommend the GAP73 DLx over the Warm. I don't do strict stereo xy recording so mixing the la610 and the Gap is ok with me.

Just wondering if you were doing it all over with the Apollo and in my case with the la610 mkii would you go GAP or Warm next ?

I should get the 102 in a week's time !
