I am probably not the right person to ask about this. I am a firm believer in dedicated recording machines and I would never consider recording to either a computer or protools on a feature or broadcast tv series. There are no interfaces or computers on my cart. Well, I guess you could call the 788T a computer but it only computes one thing.

I have recently made my cart much small and tighter and I am now using 788T machines and a CL9, breaking away from many years using a Fostex DV824 and a Yamaha 01V96. Too old to push all that stuff around and not doing ensemble cast TV any more by choice.

If you have any specific questions that apply to my rig, I'd be happy to answer them.

I liked what you said about the cs3 and problem solving. Can I ask you about the digital interface single rack space you use? I want to setup a cart based rig w my slow tools HD 10 rig and do some outdoor recording and experiment with the cart more on feature jobs along with my 664.....
