Hey Brian, just wondering what your thoughts are, as an industry professional, on my new website: Bradley Davies-Cannon Sound Engineer
    Thanks.

I've two questions, if you don't mind. Could I use a 10K primary, 150 secondary, 2.5 watt transformer with centertaps on both primary and secondary to make a push-pull headphone amp with 6sn7 tubes? I was contemplating making a JFET inverter (splitter) to drive the tubes. Second: Would it be advantageous to use a transformer to couple the signal from "preamp" section to power tubes in a push-pull (6L6GC) amp? In both cases, the transformers are 20 Hz - 20 KHz. If it matters, I use cathode bias in my power amps. I was thinking (in both cases), the transformer with 6sn7 tubes would cancel out any power supply hum and should make for a quieter amp. Thanks. I am intrigued by your remark about studio quality headphone amp using push-pull 6V6 and 600 ohm secondary. Would that work with any impedance headphone?

    Brian,
we must purchase a console this week as we have clients. We have 2 available. A 5 year old 48 channel AUDIENT ASP8024 in lovely condition,...or that DDA Profile i mentioned. Think from about 1990. Please send your opinions on these if at all possible. Tend to lean towards the PROFILE but only due to the eq being 4 band with full parametrics,..qs and so on. But the audient isnt too bad according to most. A bit lost really as the DDA is an attractive option too,..just older. Thankyou so much from Paul r.

Hi, I have a chance to get a Wheatstone Sp-8. I saw in a thread that you have some experience with it. I know its a broadcast console, but would you recommend it for EQ and mixing purposes? I have outboard pre's that I use.

    thanks!
    Geoff
