I was just reading the post you wrote a few months ago about the EMU RFX-32.

And i would like to ask you a couple of questions.
Basically I experienced the same problem 10 years ago and it used to drive me nuts.
My E-5000 Ultra power supply died, and I never really got back to it.
But at the moment I'm considering buying a second hand Ultra, and shove it the RFX32,
to use as an FX outbord gear on my desk.
So here is my question:
Do you know if the panning problem happens as well with short sounds but from an external source?
I really can't remember.
