Hey! My name is Rome, sorry to write you on her but i'm new to this and don't know the rules of the land quite yet. hope it's ok. I couldn't help but read (while searching high and low for answers) that you have a 27" 3.4 fusion drive running pro tools 11. How do you do this? lol. I recently bought a late 2013 iMac 27" 8g 3.5 i7 with a 3tb fusion drive. I also purchased an apogee Duet 2 and am running mavericks and pro tools 11. Problem is i constantly get audio distortion after a few seconds of recording.. any audio i.e guitars, voce, keys it happens to everything. If i change my buffer size it resets and will work again for a few seconds but comes right back. Apogee says its not them, Avid says its not them, Mac says its not them. I'm desperate please can you help?

I just picked up your CD on Amazon. I can't wait! It's funny, I was going to ask you if you've ever heard a band called Octopuss. After I ordered your CD, Amazon recommended Octopuss. I'm really looking forward to it. I absolutely love this kind of music! Great to meet you.

    Hey, Tom-
Clarence Jey (CJ1973) sent me a message that you may have some questions for me.
To be honest, I'm pretty rarely on Gearslutz. Shoot me an email & I'd be more than happy to shoot the breeze with you!

    Gary,

That's really nice of you, really appreciate. Yeah I was 17 lol. Pretty much a wide eyed kid.

I'm so glad you found a few songs on there that you liked! Yeah the time sig change in that one was so natural when we rehearsed it, isn't that odd? I don't even remember saying "I know, let's change time sigs!" ....it just felt right. I saw a set of vibes in the corner at Studio 2 and asked "Can we use those?" and they rolled them on over it just felt right with the "jazzy" chorus. That electric piano belongs to The Beatles, we brought it down from there equipment room in the middle of the night

Yes in the midst of trying to finish a follow up. Probably will be after the first of the year. I only have so much time a week to work on it, with kids...it's all about trying to keep money coming in here.

Stay in touch, or write me at oceantracks@mac.com and I'll put your email aside to let you know when it's close.

    Thanks again!

    Hey Tom!

I just received my copy of "Resurrection". Great album! You should be proud. "World of You" is fabulous! "She's Not Dead" is so cool! I love the unique chorus and the time sig changes. One NEVER hears time sig changes used for contrast, any more. "Everything is Alright" is another of my favorites upon first listening. I dig the classic panning effects used throughout, as well. I'm so glad I stumbled on that thread where you humbly mentioned this great work from, let's face it, your childhood! Mighty impressive, indeed!
Are you still planning the followup as mentioned on the website?

Thanks for the music, Tom! And I'll send thoughts out to the universe for your wonderful mother who went to such lengths for her talented son. One of the great ones, she was.

    Best regards,

    Gary Hoffman

The main track on the album that garners the most attention (with live strings and all done in Studio 2) is called "World of You" and is on iTunes in a 60s compilation (go figure) called "Insane Times." Otherwise the whole album is on Amazon. Thanks...it's great for a listen to the what was coming out of there at the time!
