also, for a darker mic, try the rode ntk. I threw a nice vintage tube in mine for $200 and its an AMAZING mic. All together the mic plus tube cost around 800 bucks. It is one of the most versatile mics I've found with the tube in it but also a great darker sounding compliment to the blueberry. I will often use it on acoustic guitar when I am recording vocals with the blueberry but have used it on electric guitar, warmer vocalists, and as a room mic for ambience. The Rode Ntk was an ok mic before the tub but after is on the quality range as the blue, just a very different sound.

If your looking for a darker mic to work along the Blueberry, look into the Audio Technica 4060, or Telefunken AK47.
