Try to find someone on gearslutz in your area who has some decent credentials, or go to one of the larger studios and ask how much they charge for mixing. That and some practice with feedback from other engineer friends or a mastering engineer is crucial!

Hello Cdog.... In my post about about Making fatter sounds you suggested getting my stuff mixed by professionals and seeing how they do it to shorten my learning curve. I think that is some great advice!! I'm not sure about how to go about doing that though?
Should I go in to a studio and tell them why Im there, or just ask to sit in, and how would I choose a "professional" studio?
