Hey russ im new to this whole thing and since you have tips on a page i thought maybe i could ask u something i have nothing to loose. Iam an artist not a producer so i often purchase online beats. my question is how do u mix vocals to a beat like i know u record.add eq, then compression on the vocals then effects and what not right? i mix it to where i think sounds good but then when i mute the vocals i notice some of the vocals peak, then i adjust so they dont peak but still with the beat it hits red it peaks. what do i do after that or if u have any tips i would greatly apriciate it. Iam at the point where i dont know what to do after i have bounced my vocals and beat together on one track, do i then just use correction eq then mulitband then limiter? to do a poors man mastering job? if u dont reply thats ok, if you have taken the time to read this then i apriciate your time thanks.

First of all, thanx so much for being that patient and answering to all that (interresting or less) questions last year.

Mine would be about 436c's behaviour; Do your's kind of "pop" each time it starts to reduce? i'm found of this little baby but when i use it i have to care not to go down under threshold or developped techniques to hit it with the track muted before the part starts. (not really orthodox!!!)
I gave it for fixing to a few tech in Paris (including Olivier at Plus XXX when i was "stagiaire" there) but nobody manage to fix this.
Do yours oversaturate, even when you don't hit it hard?

I also own a Gates dual peak limiter , i've you ever eard about it? would you introduce me to someone havin' one, i feel so lonely!!!
