Thanks Walter. I don't remember what I said in that thread but I wouldn't own 9 VLAIIs if I didn't like them lol. The Bio in my reverbnation is much crappier wording then my craigslist ad. They are much maligned and bashed on gearslutz: an Amek 9098 (by rupert neve) compressor and and HHB classic 70 eq (same as TL audio eq2) They are both awesome and thanks to a bashing of these 2 products on the web over the years they can be had for a song.
