It looks like I can't leave feedback for a transaction that wasn't conducted through the classifieds, so I'm going to post my review of dealing with Walter right here.

One word: awesome. Longer review: I bought a pair of ATM450s from Walter in the summer of 2013. He was responsive to email and PM (especially given the time difference between Canada and Japan, where he's based), and gave a very reasonable price for the mics. As soon as I sent him the money via Paypal, he shipped the mics promptly. They arrived very well packed and were in pristine condition. I couldn't have asked for a better transaction overall.

Thanks Walter. I don't remember what I said in that thread but I wouldn't own 9 VLAIIs if I didn't like them lol. The Bio in my reverbnation is much crappier wording then my craigslist ad. Click the link to see it -->Professional Analog Mixing & Mastering It also has much bigger pictures and more recent gear in them. I did just get a few more new pieces in the last couple months. They are much maligned and bashed on gearslutz: an Amek 9098 (by rupert neve) compressor and and HHB classic 70 eq (same as TL audio eq2) They are both awesome and thanks to a bashing of these 2 products on the web over the years they can be had for a song. Shh dont tell anyone, leavem cheap. If you want to hear those VLAIIs in action many of my examples on the reverbnation are done using only them:
