- Last year we 'took the plunge' and built a studio... regardless of it being a constant "work in progress", just taking that chance has to be a highlight.
- Other interests
- Movies, Seinfeld, Observing politics, raising my "yoots", spending time with the wife . . . fairly typical stuff.
- Key gear used
- Avid C|24 Console with Digi 003. Mackie HR-824 monitors...A pair of Avalon 737's, Great River MP2NV, own a few Bogner amps, a MacBook Pro & Mac Pro tower, mic collection includes a Neumann U87 & a Royer R-121 and plenty of fairly common/more easily affordable gear choices as well.
- Influences
- Grew up on early rock n' roll from dad, discovered KISS and was doomed from that day on . . . :) I enjoy anything that "adds to the conversation" of music. Sinatra or Slayer, Black Sabbath or Flag, Pink or Pink Floyd, the Beatles or "making beats", I try to pay attention to the cool ones and shun the rest until they set themselves apart.
- Instruments
- Lately it's Pro Tools . . . I am predominately a vocalist/guitarist/songwriter-type but I spend far too long sculpting my own songs . . . mostly because I can. I see this behavior as my biggest flaw and struggle.

- Although I am enjoying life lately as a "studio owner/recording engineer", I occasionally observe peers and the skills/knowlege/gear/experience that they possess and want to grow. I often feel like my musical instincts are fantastic and my technical expertise is miserably inadequate . . . and I am probably overstating both.
