I'm really sorry, I haven't been on here in a while! I ended up with Mackie MR5 MK2 monitors and I'm still saving for decent headphones. I'll probably get Audio Technica M50's but I need to try them out first. I'm really impressed with the mackies, only thing I did was stuff the bass ports with socks to tighten up the bass as I have to place them near a wall.
I got the Mackies for under £300 with some acoustics pads and two balanced 1/4" cables. I can't remember the exact amount sorry. I got them from here:
