Good morning, thanks for the messages and files. Excuse my ignorance...but cant "see" the zip file you refer to. Soundiver seems problematic,...doesnt seem to be available for win7. Thanks for the patch disks.....some advice on how to convert them to sysex would be well received. File ext should be .syx ??? Sure there is a simple answer to both queries. Cheers Geoff

Thanks for the tips on sounddiver,...am presently downloading it.
I can barely see anything on my LCD...so this is what interested me about aquiring Midi quest.....it seems to encompass most, if not all edit parameters......



It would be great if you could send me the system file on its own........just to start off with......your offer of patches will be greatly appreciated too.....

Am happy to reciprocate too.....my voices are culled from patchman, ken barry and one or two other sources.....I edited some of my own voices using existing ones as a starting point.....

There is someone selling updated replacements on ebay....he swears they are 100% compatable.

I joined gearslutz after reading your posts relating to your Yamaha Vl1.
I own one of these instruments, that has suffered from constant use over the last 15years or so. My instrument now longer sports a funcioning floppy disc....as well as having limited LCD capabilities..... I am looking for someone to send me a sysex file with the system set up for BC3 use....as i have buggered up my controller page and can no longer see enough info on my LCD to correct it. I also need to convert loads of patches to sysex so that i dont need a functioning floppy......
I know its a lot to ask....but would you be able to assist me with getting my instrument playable again. I will use midiox to communicate with the VL1....

Am considering buying sound quest to manage thing better on the editor front.
Would you recommen this?

Ross here in Melbourne , thanks for the CS80 soundclouds. Hey I have a question I have sysex my code into my mac but now I want to send back C123 sound into another CODE back D101. I am using a proggie called sysex librarian but cant see if I have to do something in the CODE to receive???

Hi Collin I presume? I read in a few topics where you discussed the mks 80, I believe you have the rev 5. Rumors say that it's not that good for bass, well I was wondering if you could make me a few bass demos of this synth? I listened to the demos you posted on a few mks topics but they're not convincing it seems, could you do this for me? I'd love it for rich brass sounds and pads, but I might want thick bass too. I read somewhere that although the patches are the same the rev 4 and 5 will sound different, but with adjusting the parameters you could achieve pretty much the same exact sound. What's up with that?
