    How did I not see this PM? Sorry about such a late reply.. i'm sure you already have your answer. They are the same. When the MA5 first came out, it was a redface because a few friends preffered it, but I had always wanted black.. so after a few months, we just went with the blackface and offered choice of either black or red gain knob.

    Mark at Funky Junk is a great pro audio guy.. really helpful. Let me know if you have any more questions.

    HI, I thought it easier to PM you than start a thread....Looking to buy my first lunchbox and want a couple of MA5's. What is the difference between the Red face and Black face ones? I'm in the UK, so will get some thru Mark at Funky Junk...he only has the red face ones listed on his website....
