I was checkin out the audio samples you posted from the VP 26 about a year ago. Great Music man! I liked the song writing on the vocal example you uploaded.

Are you still using the VP26 today?

I wanted to ask your opinion about putting a front end together. I too am using a SM7B. I like how the vp26 sounds. Its pleasant, round, smooth, but it doesn't sound BIG. Im do hip hop. Can the VP get right in your face or is there a different version that VP sells to achieve this?

...Or can this be achieved with following the VP with a compressor. Do you think its worth it to invest in a compressor on your front end or just track at low levels and compress ITB? If you do compress while tracking in your experience as a singer does it help you to feel your performance more? Im all about that and simplicity. I love it when you can record a song and barely have to touch faders and EQ to make it sound complete!

Any input or advice would be great!
