Hi, I'd love to hear your thought on the Ross Martin 2ch ADC once you've spent some time with it. It's very intriguing and I really want 2 ch's of pristine (neutral) ADC for recording my critical tracks, and OD's etc. Also hoping it has spdif OUT so I can come into my existing interface. I'm in Vancouver also so would also be curious what the landed cost ended up being. Cheers.

Hi, two things...I have converter files for you. I did 10 passes on my MOTU Traveler MK1. How do you want me to deliver them? Only 1,4 and 10 right? I trimmed them all to 2457017 samples, hope that isn't an issue. Went direct out of 3/4 into 5/6. Second, are you the guy in Vancouver selling the 828MKII on CL?

Thanks nms! I just wanted to clear that out as by default the V-Limiter is on, which is even worse than the soft limiter. You can have them both enabled actually judging by the manual. I would maybe enable just the soft limiter if I decide to buy it... I'm still in the process of "research". Thank you so much! Especially for this thread. Very interesting. I also thank you for being a man of science, not mambo jumbo... [those cable guys are funny... LOL]

    Cheers!

    Hello nms!

I'm about to buy a Motu 828MK3 so I just wanted to check something with you, regarding your converter tests. I saw you did turn down the level of files to -2dBFS for testing, avoiding the soft limiter that way, but have you done any testing with 828MK3 with *both* the V-Limiter and soft limiter turned off? You can turn them both off. It's just hard to believe that MK3 would sound worse than MK2 and to tell you the truth that saw wave does look like it went through some kind of limiter or compressor.

Thank you so much for that thread and all the work you've done. It's great! I might test my AD-DA chain, too, when I acquire the AD part.

    Cheers!

Saw your converter loopback test thread, and was interested in testing my RME multiface II. Are you still updating this test?
    thanks,
