Hi Gaston, Merry Christmas, I just read the thread you started about the dpa 4060's and am astonished with the sound. Iplan on buying the stereo set to use the AB setup for 3 different symphony's I'll be recording.
I'm new at recording orchestras, "1st time" and have some questions...
1. where did you place the AB stand in refrence to the conductors position?
2. Which stereo kit did you buy, (I found a couple and am not to sure)?
3. Hoow do you usually position the mics, facing up or toward the orchestra, ect?
4. the 1st orchestra is a 25 pc Barouqe string orchestra, so how far would you recommend the mic spread to be?
This will be so helpfull and i appreciate yr recordings you post.

I want to record a soprano performing with a pianist (grand piano). What configuration of mics + pre-amps + cables + recorders would you recommend?
