I was looking for some information about the endless debate "KPA vs AXE Fx2", and after a lot of thinking, I went for KPA. Mine is coming next week, so now I'm all freaked to find good profiles. I happened to read your post where you said you bought very good profiles for 40$. Could you tell me more about it, in e.g.: where did you get them, and where to find some really good low gain-clean amp profiles (AC30s, Fenders, Two Rock, etc.). I'd appreciate your help very much. Greetings from Italy
Very very sweet singing in Peluso 2247 LE ( You are like the ocean) is that you singing?
Also if you could tell me what reverb you used on that, was it hardware?
I am trying to find that reverb feel but cant.. its been so long.. been asking people but no one has replied.Your suggestions will be much appreciated.
Hello Sir, my name is Andrei and I followed your posts. Need an advice to choose between DMA 73 Heritage and GTC2 Aurora. Please let me know your opinion. It will have 2 purposes 1- tracking, 2- after the summing box as an alternative of the Equinox SH preamps (Gamma). May thanks
I was wondering if you had any recordings of your vocals done with the heritage. I really like your shootout of the BAE vs the Avedis. You wouldn't happen to have a sample of the heritage I could compare them with would you?
Hey John, reading your reviews on the Retro DW and saw that you have a Miktek CV4 which I was considering. Can you please tell me a little about it. What have you compared it to? Will a Lauten Oceanus or Pearlman TM-1 give better results? Thanks.
It's babydaddymusic here in Nashville. I am trying to get an acoustic sound similar to Coldplay "Don't Panic" and Greg Laswell "Around the Bend". Playing around with RNLA and RNC, different mics and placements, and a Waves CLA 1176, I started to think that maybe a Mohog 1176 might really help shave off some transients. Then I noticed in a thread you mentioned that the 1176 type compressor might be worth getting purely for recording acoustic guitars (guy was considering LA-3A and 2-A.
Could you elaborate on why you like the 1176 for recording, and tell me that the mic and guitar had more to do with that sound than compression (ahaha)
