    Hey John, I just wanted to thank you for the advice. Looks like you're in the Bay area as well. I'm a fairly recent transplant from LA and the heads up on the local guitar stores is much appreciated!

    hi i seen on here you did a review of the dbx 166xl and said you wouldnt recommend it for recording what would you recommend in its place thats slightly higher in price maybe $150 to $200 more

    hi jon…

    i live in brazil and am about to have a recording session in RAK studios london, end of the month. they have a studer a 800 mkIII available there, but i have no idea as to where i can get a hold on tape/reel… i've searched online but seem not to know exactly how/where to look…

    there also is very little organized technical data on the tapes themselves (such as how long they record, etc.)…

    can you help?
