hi jon…

i live in brazil and am about to have a recording session in RAK studios london, end of the month. they have a studer a 800 mkIII available there, but i have no idea as to where i can get a hold on tape/reel… i've searched online but seem not to know exactly how/where to look…

there also is very little organized technical data on the tapes themselves (such as how long they record, etc.)…

can you help?

Wouldn't you agree? I should have been more clear. Quit smoking this week...focus is a little bent.

Point was just that if you want a workhorse you don't need to be extra careful of in a toxic environment - this will be better than a 30 dollar piece of crap.

Hey John. No!!! Not at all man. Lol. And thanks for the msg. I was simply saying that it can take a beating and doesn't change too much. It isn't the best mic for sound quality but it is surely a well built and good sounding mic. That was just to tell people not to go wild on someone if it takes a spill. You save that for when someone knocks over your U47 or KSM44. cheers man.
