I notice that you have an ssl axiom. I want to possibly purchase one but some people on gear slutz say it's not a good buy. What is your oppinion about the axiom? Are you glad you bought it?

we spoke a couple of years ago about the ssl axiom.. well were having trouble passing machine control to nuendo... are you using a cable or one of the steinberg sync stations???..

the 02R and the SSL are connected through ADAT cards in the 02R to aes/ebu convertors into the SSL.
i mainly send aux sends to the 02R to the internal FX and to the TC card in the 02R
and return them on the SSL. (just like the analog FX)
this way it is also possible to use the mic pre's in the 02R

(my SSL is digital, so everything connected is digital, clocked by a master clock.)

the best way of leaving the 02R analog is through the Apogee AP8-DA 8ch output cards.
the cards are hard to find but a step up from the 02R convertors.

hey i have looked at the setup of your studio...i noticed you had an axiom and a yamaha o2r..i was wondering how your using them?..are you using them together?...i am wondering because we just bought an ssl at the studio im at and we use an o2r now..we only have 12 mic pres on the ssl so we need to use some of the o2r...any suggestions?
