Hi Matt,
I'm coming to you because I was ready the ev underhead thread, and you have posted a great sample called dgmaster2.mp3.
You got the kind of drum sound I want to nail, as Eric did as well.
For whatever reason I cannot post any new message in this thread, this is weird.
So I was thinking you could help me.
Do you have pictures of the mic placement u ve made for your sample recording ?
I can have a good mic placement without the medium tom, but when we have a tom in front of the drumer, this is hard to get this mic placed correctly above the snare and the bass drum kick.
Would you have some advices to give me about this technic and the way of mixing it ?
