    Hi Glenn,

hope your well my friend ! Just an update on my acoustic panels. Due to space I'm now thinking of not having as much panels as what i planned and trying to just have the essentials. So this is what I have got. Two panels with rockwool 60kg/M3 75mm and two panels with the same rockwool but with two slabs in each panel and now im now panning on making two triangle bass traps with one slab each and putting them at the top of the corners of the wall above where my desk will be.

It would be great to have the traps from top to bottom. But with the small triangle traps its idea for bedroom studio.

So my question to you is will this be enough for a small/medium room and where shall i put the other panels ? One either side of the monitors ? double panel at the back wall and double panel above the desk ?

    thanks
    Dean

    Hi Glenn,

Could you please give me the box dimensions for the GIK Tri-traps. I know two come in one box, but I need the box dimensions, not the tri-trap dimensions.

    Thanks.

    Hello Glenn,

    My name is Rodrigo Coimbra.

I'm a 20 years old producer from Brazil and i'm beginning to design my new home studio. I've been checking Gearslutz and couldn't help noticing that you reply lots of people, so i decided to take a shot haha.

I have a 5x5x3M room, totally empty. I won't record anything, maybe a vocal once in a while but the focus is on monitoring. I've been thinking about split the room and get myself some small bedroom on it too. Well, my first idea was spliting a 3x5 control room and 2x5 bedroom.

I was wondering if you could "give me any light" about what is the best thing to do, i should really split the room. I'm sending a pic with the basic design (totally changable) and fake wall layouts.

Thank you very much for your time, and if you can't help me out i'll understand.

    Glenn,

hope this finds you well - noticed the contest on FB and (just out of curiosity) took a gander - should be a great promo tool.

I found myself curious when I glanced at the official rules however - was wondering what this meant? (I highlighted and bolded what I am curious about)

"6. ACCEPTANCE OF RULES & MEDIA RELEASE: By submitting a video entry, each entrant
accepts these rules and agrees to be bound by the decision of GIK Acoustics, whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this contest. What health information are you talking about here?

    Hello sir,

I'm planning to build myself my first home studio and trying to manage my expectations about it. Experienced eyes such as yours might see some obvious holes in my plans that I myself can't so...I will be very grateful if you can take a little time to look at this thread and tell me what you think? Thank you very much in advance.

Hello there! I hope you don't mind me asking about some of the GIK products. It's been great watching the videos and the GIK Acoustics: The Basics animation has been really inspiring.

It would be of a great help if you could share with me some specifications as I was intending to DIY. I basically want to follow the instructions from the animation, so here are my questions…

    1. Density of,

    2. Thickness of,

    3. Air gap behind
    ---------------------------------
    GIK 242 Acoustic Panel ???
    GIK 244 Bass Trap ???
    GIK Monster-Trap ???
    GIK Try-Trap ??

    Many thanks,

    Ben.

I'm sure you get a lot of these, but please add me to the list of very satisfied customers. Still tinkering but right now my home mix room sounds about as good as any room I've worked in. (any better than a few) Thank you very much
