Infinity Primus 360. How do they sound?

im considering buying these but nowhere locally sells them so i cant hear them first. ive seen these recommended as mastering speakers (on the cheap end ofcourse. im just learning). if anyone has heard these can you comment on how they sound compared to say adam a7's or some dynaudio speakers? also i dont understand why there seems to be a devision between mastering and mixing speakers. shouldnt you mix with just as great of clarity if you had the opportunity and a good room to do so?

I'm not familiar with Primus model, but I can confirm that SM255 of Infinity rocks! It is very precise, although it is very hard placing them at the correct position. They need big, well treated room! Again, I don't know how Primus sounds, but I can confirm that you won't make a mistake if you try SM255 (it's older model, so I'm not sure you'll find them, but try it)!

They made pretty good speakers from time to time (some from the high league), so go to Ebay and inform yourself on prices and availability! You can also do a little upgrade of those speakers by replacing internal cabling for start!

Cheers. Good luck.

i have two pairs of high-grade infinity speakers here (beta reference 50, reference kappa 9)... was thinking of getting the primus, but they don't look as cool as the better stuff they make... i'd be thinking more along the infinity beta series... really good stuff.
