audio with .spn file extension??

A client sent me surround audio via ftp as a .zip.
it unpacked normal so no problem in transfer.

All is well except the last channel of the last track has extension
.wav.spn and it is incomplete.

now they have retrieved a file that has the missing megabytes and also has
.wav.spn
The last bit cannot be opened.

Has anybody seen this extension before??
Is it dropbox or some audio DAW?

Thanks for the suggestions

Never seen it. A quick google search tells me it's a Corel Word Perfect extension. My guess is it got added by accident by the client, remove that leaving only the .wav and see if it opens.

Thanks Rob, I did that but the second part was unreadable..
I've abandoned the search and asked the client to deliver correct wavs.

Holy truncated mp3s!!! Maybe I had one of those instead of what I thought was a mp3! (Remember my 3 and one half minute version of Stairway to Heaven?)
