The Bryston 2B-LP Amplifier

Anyone here can comment about the : The Bryston 2B-LP Amplifier

What do you guyz think and how much should it cost nowadays (Brand NEW and USED one in good condition)? Of course i know that there is much much better Bryston Amp that sound better then this one but for the budget how would you place it? Thank you very much.. because i'm now going to buy Audiophile Monitors for my Studio so i need a nice AMP that has a very nice Tight Bottom and a very good Image Translation and tranparency but i dont wanna spend more then 350$ or 500$ (for now) because i need to calculate the Wiring etc.. that i have someone who's gonna Handcraft them. Because i was about to buy the Adam A7 but not sure anymore since i get to hear Passive Audiophile Monitors, its simply WOW!!

Thanx for any suggestion or answer.... thanx in advance!!

You will need more guts than this.

And if transparency is a big deal for you i would look less at the older Brystons and at some other amps.

When exactly do you mean when you say "Passive Audiophile Monitors?"

That's going to make a difference...

If you need really good bang for buck for a "starter" amp that still puts out some decently clean power the Rotel RB-1080 is definitely a good one to check out that might fit your budget if you can source it used. You might also want to check out the Nelson Pass designed Adcom GFA 5802 also.

Best regards,
Steve Berson

hey Massive!1 When i say Passive Monitor (Hi-Fi Audipphile monitors) that a lot of Mastering Engineer do use instead of Active already powered Monitor. Just like to day i went to listen to Some "Paradigm/ProAc and Focal Audiophile monitor and WOW, i was blown away espcially with the PROAC and FOCAL monitors and i'm plaaning to buy the FOCAL but where i was today to listen to them in a very amazing Hi-FI store, they suggested me some AMP from ATOLL:

One was the :
- Atoll : Power Amplifier : AM 100 and has Peak Power: 180W and cost 1350$ CAN
- Atoll : Power Amplifier : AM 80 and has Peak Power: 150W 1050$ CAN

So i know that the AMP is xtremly important because if u take very good Monitors and u have a so so AMP, i will loose a lot but simply looking for something maybe second HAND but that is very GOOD still because i dont wanna loose some quality.. u know!! Anyhow, thank you for the respond

I've been doing some research and i was wondering, HOW about the Line of "Antique Sound Lab".. ive read a lot of reviews that are very and quite intresting and espcially if i can find very nice AMP at a very nice price without compromising too much... if anyone heard of them, please let me know your thoughts

Thanx a lot

how about"Jolida JD-302B "

How about these ones? Someone at Uptown suggested me these AMPLIFIER:
http://www.uptownaudio.com/jolida/jdStore.htm

Now my question to the pro's here that use Audiophile MOnitors, i'm buying audiophile monitor because of the quality and i will be using them for mixing purposes, i was wondering if TUBE AMPLIFIER like i have been suggusted like this one:Jolida JD-302B wont be a negative choice of Amplifier?

I mean woudlnt be good to buy if i can say "normal" Amplifier instead of TUBE amplifier because we know that sometimes TUBE changes or can change character today and tomorrow be different?

Need pro's advice here if possible

Thank you

Check www.audiogon.com for used hifi ect. Audiogon is better than ebay. I bought my Sim Audio home system off there with no problems.
