For those using Slate FG-X + an EQ...

What EQ(s) are you feeding into the FG-X and how lovely is it? Either clean and surgical, or character is fine. Just looking at my options.

Oh, and Hi. My last post here was 6 years ago.

I use Ozone when multiband comp, gating, or expansion is needed, but for EQ I much prefer the sound of Nebula, e.g. the GML library, Pultec, and BAX libraries, etc. Awesome sound, and there are many other great ones, all 3rd party libraries BTW. However, a caveat, not intuitive or easy to use, for me. However, the sound is fabulous.

Most of the time I use Fabfilter ProQ for surgical cuts before final limiting. But I find myself using FG-X less and less in the last weeks. Sometimes I use FG-X in combination with ProL or the L2007.

Thanks for the replies. In the end, I went with the BX Digital V2 (got it cheap in a sale) and it seems great. Love the M/S thing.
