The volume pot on my TC Konnekt 8 has gone bad for the second time in two years. Not just scratchy: it passes audio at full volume all the time. They are quoting $130 to replace it. It seems pointless to repair the Konnekt 8 because it will probably just fail again. It's not like I was hard on the thing: it is permanently attached to my office PC so I can listen to music on good headphones.

I'm going to apply the $130 I would have spent repairing the Konnekt 8 towards purchasing a SoundDevices USBpre2, which has basically the same functions as a Konnekt 8, but is not going to fail. I am not buying any more TC Electronic interfaces.

It's a great piece, wish I still had mine. Looking to find one again.

I am selling one in NYC. Get in touch with me if you'd like it. Perfect condition.

It is great... tons of functionality in a very small size .. it'll even do SRC to 192k in real time! .. crazy. The routing functions are great. preset recalls, etc .. it's like having a Zsys router built right into a firewire interface. Integrator is useful too if you're a heavy DAW user/router.

A bonus is the analog out and headphones. Nice to have an audible check of signal.

It has always worked flawlessly on my Windows PC, as well on on my 2011 Mac Mini, in both OSX and in Bootcamp.
