Would you master these differently for vinyl?

Just wanted to see your thoughts on this one.Would you ask the mixer/engineer to make the bass mono on occasions like the following?

It sounds to me like they made copies of the original bass sequence, panned them L & R & pitch-shifted them by a couple of cents...
