De Facto Standard Mastering Monitors

I was wondering if any of you could inform me as to what mastering speakers would be considered "industry standard". I mean the "goto" speakers in the same way as a U87, an SM58, an LA-2A, Marshall amps in the 70's/80's, Sony electronics, etc., would be in their own elements. Is there such a thing?

Part of this I guess is there is always something costing more or less than the standard, but the standard usually lies somewhere in the middle to upper end of the price spectrum.

Thanks
-C

I don't know about defacto, but I'd guess the B&W 800 series (802 - 801) are one of the more popular speakers you see.

If I see B&W 800-802, big PMC (IB2S and up), big ATC or Geithain RL-801 or RL-901 there is a good chance the mastering house knows at least something about sound...

Barefoot mm27 are great. I listened to them in my room last year and they sounded pretty good. One pro is you can carry them easyer than B&W 800 speakers ;-)
