analog vs digital or combination of both?

Ok, I have a few question on mastering. I own the waves grand masters bundle and use a focusrite 8i6 and use krk5 monitors. I wanted to know if going analog is going to have a tremendous difference from mastering in the box. Could I just get a better dedicated ad converter? Do I need better monitors and better room acoustics to do a good job? Or can I just master through my monitoring head phones. Or is it worth while to save up for a bunch of outboard mastering gear...

Yes
All the rest together wouldn't have as big an impact as these two elements alone.
