Hi Matthew,
I've been using Wave Editor for SRC and basic editing for some time now. I haven't really gone into mastering because I'm used to Peak and the workflow is quite different but now that I have to switch I'd be very interested in knowing what's new in WE2.
Could you give us a few infos?
Thanks,
A.

Define 'mastering engineer'. I don't do it full time, but I master local/low budget stuff, as well as my own... Do I qualify? Lol

I signed up for the beta a couple weeks ago but haven't received an answer yet. I use WE daily in my mastering studio, I would love to get my hands on version 2 beta.

Not a chance of a PC port from what I've seen, and you'll definitely need one of the newest versions of OSX as well.

Hope you got the "moving-the-track fail" and visual mono(summed) view (instead of stereo view) done right in this version... The current is unusable for serious work with these two errors.

Great, long live Audiofile Engineering and Wave Editor!

I'm still running Snow Leopard and it looks like Wave Editor 2 [at least the beta] won't run on Snow Leopard. Is there a technical reason for this or will the final release also run under Snow Leopard? There were some posts a while back indicating the audio quality in Lion is inferior to Snow Leopard. Any comments to the contrary?

Ouch. Didn't notice that. I'm on snow leopard as well. Darn.
